Our Why?

Our journey began with a drastic lifestyle change: we left the comforts of suburban life to establish a farm from scratch. We had little knowledge of farming, but we held a strong desire for our children to grow up with experiences richer than the constant pull of technology and consumerism. We wanted them to feel connected to the earth, to see the value in the things they create, and to understand the deeper rewards of labor and stewardship. This wasn’t just about us; it was about shaping a future where they could appreciate simplicity and find meaning in things that go beyond the material. We envisioned a life where our family would grow closer through shared purpose, learning together, and contributing to something that felt enduring. Although daunting, we knew that immersing ourselves in God’s creation would bring countless life lessons and a profound sense of fulfillment.

As we settled into this new way of life, the challenges were many, yet the rewards have been even greater than we ever imagined. Each day presents opportunities to learn, create, and cultivate not just the land, but values of gratitude, unity, and resilience. The beauty we experience here has transformed our lives, instilling a deeper appreciation for everything around us. We realized that this journey wasn’t just for us; it was something we wanted to share. The fulfillment we feel now drives us to open our farm to others, offering guests a hands-on experience of this peaceful and meaningful lifestyle. By sharing our story, our knowledge, and our home, we hope to inspire others to embrace the joy of creation over consumption and to witness firsthand the incredible sense of purpose and contentment that this life brings.

Our Story

In 2024, the Phillips family embarked on a mission to reinvent their lives. Initially conceived as a weekend retreat from city life, Silver Moon Ranch was envisioned as a family getaway. Brent, tirelessly researching properties, stumbled upon an overlooked piece of land. Despite its long market presence and clear need for renovation, Brent instantly saw its potential and felt a strong connection to the land. This ignited a passion to make it their permanent home and lifestyle, not just a temporary escape. While it took some time for the family to fully embrace this vision, once they did, they were wholeheartedly committed to the project.
